This journal is a brief history of the hikes that we have taken. It begins mid summer 2002, since that was when we 1st dreamed up the idea of keeping the journal and this time also roughly coincides with the time when we 1st became interested in taking longer hikes and backpacking. Over the past 3 years we have hiked countless day hikes, but we failed to keep a journal of those hikes. So, since we had to start somewhere, we decided to start now!
